Study Circles
SocioNet offers study circles for members. These circles, enable our members to discuss principles of sociocracy and applications of dynamic governance. The Study Circles will meet locally, in conference calls, or by teleconference.
The Center sponsors two levels of Study Circles: General Study Circles for all members, and Professional Study Circles for professional members. Study Circles will be led by a Member who has been approved by the Center to lead Study Circles.
General Study Circles
When joining a Study Circle, members will be expected to make a commitment in time and preparation in order to ensure a stable membership and informed discussion. These commitments will vary between Study Circles, but new members with no knowledge are always welcome to join General Study Circles. Get some experience. Sign-up for our next Virtual Practice Circle!
Professional Study Circles
Professional Study Circles will be limited to Professional Members who use or plan to use sociocratic concepts in their professional work, e.g. as small business owners, counselors, administrators, etc. Circle membership will require a minimum of a six-month commitment, although each study circle, once formed may modify this requirement. To the extent possible, the Professional Study Circles will be peer group circles, with attempts to cluster members of equivalent experience together. Professional Study Circles are not part of a certification path.
